Africa Calling - this is a song that deals with the idea that Africa is calling out to all humanity to remember we are all from there. Humanity began in Africa. It also is speaking specifically to all the children of the African diaspora because the world is watching, wondering if we will ever know ourselves well enough to take control of Africa's destiny and our own. The rhythm behind this song is from a traditional Malawian ceremony known as Vimbuza. It is a ritual to remove mental illness.
